A Message from the Walt Whitman PTA

The Walt Whitman PTA is now accepting entries for the National PTA Reflections Art Recognition program in the following categories: visual arts, literature, photography, film production, music composition, and dance choreography! PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program encouraging artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students of all grades and abilities are invited to submit up to six projects, limited to a maximum of one project in each category, exploring the 2024-2025 theme, “Accepting  Imperfection.” Please note that there is an accessible arts division for students. A full explanation of program rules including size requirements for visual art can be found at nyspta.org/home/programs/reflections

Entering is easy!  Once you have finished your art project, fill out the google form (see link below) where you will also submit a digital copy of your artwork. If you are entering the visual art or photography categories only, please also submit the actual artwork to Danielle Kennedy in the Main Office she will put in the WWHS PTA mailbox.

At the Monday May 5th 2025 WWHS PTA meeting, all students will be honored and their artwork will be displayed. Award winning visual art, photography and literature projects will be displayed at the South Huntington Public Library during the month of April. Award winning film production, dance choreography, and music composition projects will be featured on the South Huntington Council of PTAs website with parent permission.
